At C2N Australia, we believe in a balanced approach to addressing Australia’s current and future energy needs, promoting environmental responsibility, economic transparency and globally leading the energy transition away from coal. We believe in a future of grid connected energy that has its place in the energy equation, ensuring solar, wind, water and battery storage are supported by responsible nuclear, to safely decommission coal power stations. We are at a crossroad in Australia, in deciding what our energy future will look like. Either we build mega-grids connecting Wind/Water/Solar installations (WWS), batteries and peaking gas plants, as proposed by Anthony Albanese and the Australian Labor Government. Or, we take a more holistic approach and embrace all “Net-Zero” technologies, both renewables and nuclear power, as proposed by Peter Dutton and the Australian Coalition Party in 2024. Five Questions to consider: 1/ What is more cost effective, not just now but long-term? 2/ What is more reliable and better for emerging industries? 3/ What is better for the environment, and what Australia looks like in the future? 4/ What best serves the long-term interests of Australians? 5/ What option is better for us to develop as global citizens? At C2N Australia we explore these questions with an aim of moving away from fossil fuel dependence. We provide information and discuss issues that are important to politicians, journalists and the general public, about our future energy needs.
