Our names are Claudia, Annette and Alana and we are three Costa Rican sisters, third-generation coffee lovers. Our grandpa, Dieter, migrated to Perú from Germany with the purpose of restarting his life after WWII. He started to work in the coffee world and, years later, moved to Costa Rica to create his business to commercialize green coffee. The company is still active and is managed by our father and uncle, who continue with the family tradition.
We grew up learning from fascinating world of coffee and decided to create this project with a different focus. By realizing the gender inequality and lack of opportunities for women in the coffee industry, we decided to join these women and listen to their stories. With Café Tres Monas, not only we are looking to offer better opportunities for them to position themselves in the market, but also we are looking to foster a community of support and transparency, in which we can work together and empower one another to succeed.
