CAFO-FOOTBALL ACADEMY ( Republic of Bénin, West Africa)

CAFO ( Centre Academique de Football d'Ottola). The Ottola Academic Football Center was born at the beginning of 2021 on the initiative of a dynamic, ambitious youth, aware of the impact of football in development, a youth who measure the passion that the environment gives in football, from the participation of football to the reconciliation of an environment fractured by politics and the rural exodus (movement of young people to Nigeria) which is a phenomenon that is lastingly raging in the youthful class, a youth in search of a way to occupy their spare time in a healthy way through an education football marriage. A marriage that will see the birth of many world stars because like other African countries, Benin is one of the States with fewer international stars for lack of adequate national training centers. The few rare initiatives in this area are often confronted with problems of organization and follow-up. This prevents many young people from pursuing and realizing their dreams. This manifests itself through a high rate of youth dropouts. So CAFO wants to be a reference center to overcome these various failures by establishing a healthy link between football, school and professional training. Minor, the Ottola Academic Football Center is inspired by the experience of some viable local clubs (ABI SPORT, Académy-SESSEGNON, and some foreign clubs (Coton Sport de Yaoundé, Zamalec de l'Egypt etc, ...) by organizing a selection test from April 11 to April 14, 2021 During these four days, the committee was able to detect 90 talents in two different age groups: the 9 to 12 year old group and the 13 to 15 year old group
