The Foundation is dedicated to raising funds to increase the capacity of CAGP to achieve the objectives of its strategic plan. The CAGP Foundation was federally incorporated in 2016 and received charitable status in March 2017. Our Vision A better world through strategic charitable giving. Our Mission To financially support the development and promotion of excellence in strategic, charitable gift planning in Canada. The CAGP Foundation is leading fund development efforts to support the following priorities of CAGP: • To maintain its leadership position in providing relevant education related to strategic philanthropic giving in Canada and to expand its education outreach to meet market demand • To strengthen leadership development in local CAGP Chapters to promote further volunteer involvement and engagement, as well as financial assistance for selected members. • To continue to develop a comprehensive government relations / public policy strategy to strengthen CAGP’s representation of the charitable sector related to tax policy and to have an impact on key public policy issues impacting philanthropy.
