Caico Crafts

Caico Crafts is a Danish Egyptian company, which designs sustainable furniture and home accessories. All our products are handmade, therefore not two chairs look exactly the same. We strive to be in touch with our authenticity by creating and designing items for the home which are original. Our concept is to create designs that combines the best from two worlds, the history of Egyptian crafts since the time of the pharaohs and the simplicity of Danish design. Caico Crafts furniture is made out of Egyptian date palm stems, which is extremely highly environmentally friendly since it is basically waste from the palms, as it is a way to help nourishing and keeping the palms in good health. Furthermore we produce baskets from the leaves, we believe that nothing should be wasted. We make textile products which is perfect to any modern home, all the cotton we use is Egyptian cotton, as well wool products such as Kelim Rugs and Bedspreads which is carefully manufactured by hands. Every piece is made with passion and with the authenticity of the Egyptian heritage. One of our product sortiments is Salt lightings which is produced in the Siwa Oasis, the salt is quite virgin since the salt was discovered back in 2011, all our candle holders are hand carved in our designs by great artisans.
