The firm was established to form a bridge between investors who want exposure to Africa and the innumerable African businesses needing investment. We are industry/sector agnostic and will take positions wherever the opportunity presents itself. First and foremost any business that we invest in or promote investment for will have a monitoring and/or operating agent selected. One reason we employ this process is to ensure that business operations run as they say they will be run; the second benefit is to give CAIMCO the opportunity to provide the businesses with assistance and mentorship support. Our process, in its entirety, ensures investors can invest in Africa with greater confidence as we operate as a company with a prime focus on mitigating and managing risk. We cap our fundraising subject to the investment and are very selective about the investments we pursue. We focus on performance above asset gathering. In addition to risk management and mitigation, transparency is at the core of our philosophy. We are open about our ownership structures and investments. Uniquely, we provide key clients with the opportunity to view the operations at first-hand and sit in on management meetings.
