CAL Collaborative

Gabriel Calatrava is the Founder and Lead Designer of CAL Collaborative, a New York-based architecture firm with a diverse portfolio ranging from urban master plans and mixed-use towers to residential buildings, pavilions, and product design. Calatrava conceived CAL Collaborative as an interdisciplinary collective with a two-pronged but wholly integrated approach: an architecture studio and experimental research lab. The team is comprised of designers, architects, and engineers united in their dedication to delivering bespoke projects with precision from start to finish. The Lab at CAL Collaborative serves as a testing ground for design concepts and emerging production methods. This space encourages experimentation, regularly inviting students, professors, and professionals from various fields to workshop ideas, trial next generation software, and test cutting-edge fabrication technologies. The Lab aims to expand CAL Collaborative's arsenal of design tools and conceptual frameworks with the goal of enriching the firm's projects.
