Calamari Classic

The Calamari Classic is Western Australia’s premier annual squid fishing event, offering the thrill of competitive angling combined with entertainment and fun the whole family can enjoy. Like squid fishing itself the event continues to grow in popularity, attracting everyone from enthusiastic juniors through to the most ardent and experienced recreational fishers. In 2018, The Calamari Classic happened on Saturday 10 March and the impressive Cockburn Power Boats Association in Jervoise Bay Cove, Coogee. It provided the perfect location for land, power boat and kayak squid fishing, brilliant viewing for spectators and an amazing venue for our huge post-competition party. With its well-appointed facilities, easy access to Perth’s largest public boat ramp and calm and pristine fishing waters, our new home has taken The Calamari Classic to an exciting new level, and we are already planning for 2019!
