Calaur Advisory provides independent, expert, and practical advice to Boards, People & Culture teams and executives on the alignment of strategy, culture, performance and remuneration and critical people matters. Founded by Debra Eckersley, Deb brings a unique combination of experiences as a former Chief People Officer, accountant, trusted external adviser to Boards, and business leader. In her time with PwC (to 2018), Deb was widely regarded as one of the top people and remuneration advisers in Australia - recognised for a strategic, pragmatic, and empathetic approach combined with financial acumen, curiosity, and deep insights. After leading PwC’s People & Change consulting practice, the PwC Human Capital team (responsible for the people strategy for around 6,000 people) and being part of PwC Australia’s Executive Board (2012-2016), Deb decided to get ‘real life corporate’ experiences outside a professional services partnership and spent five years (to 2023) at Bank of Queensland (BOQ) as Group Executive, People & Culture. Calaur Advisory provides deep, practical, and fresh perspectives and insights to Boards and executives on critical people, change and remuneration matters.
