Caldas Novas - Goiás

Caldas Novas is a Brazilian municipality in the state of Goiás, in the Midwest region of the country. It is located in southeastern Goiás and its population in 2018 was 89,087 inhabitants. The municipality is known for being the largest hydrothermal resort in the world, with waters that spring from the ground at temperatures ranging from 43 ° to 70 °. The main source of income for the municipality is tourism. In high season, the city can accommodate more than 500 thousand tourists. The city structure has hotels, inns, chalets, clubs, nightclubs and bars. Another great attraction of Caldas Novas is ecotourism, since the city is on the banks of the Corumbá dam lake and next to the Serra de Caldas. Every year, more than 3 million tourists visit Caldas Novas, considered the largest hydrothermal resort in the world. It has hundreds of pools with thermal waters in its hotels and clubs, which attract tourists from all over the country, mainly from the Southeast and Midwest regions.
