After evaluating different processes for calibration target manufacturing in terms of accuracy, price, and versatility, we found a reliable process for medium to large size calibration targets that are accurate, flat and very stiff. We established Calib.io I/S to make these products available to others facing the same challenges. Accurate and robust calibration targets are essential for 3D scanning and photogrammetry purposes. Our targets are compatible with OpenCV, MATLAB, CharuCo, Agisoft Photomodeler, MVTec Halcon and more. Our checkerboard calibration targets also allow professional photographers and videographers to create accurate lens profiles for Adobe CC. All of our calibration targets are made from durable aluminium/LDPE material which offers excellent flatness and stiffness, while being lightweight and suitable even for prolonged outdoor use.
