The CAv6TF is affiliated with the North American IPv6 Task Force (NAv6TF) and coordinates with the other IPv6 Task Forces across the world to cascade Internet Protocol version 6 throughout the Internet. Specifically, the CAv6TF is an open user group accepting members from all geographies on the west coast including Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Idaho, & Arizona. Founded by Jim Bound, Internet Pioneer, & Latif Ladid, IPv6 Forum, & honorary chair, Vint Cerf, The California IPv6 Task Force (CAv6TF) is dedicated to the advancement and propagation of IPv6 (Internet Protocol, version 6). The CAv6TF mission is to advocate, educate and promote IPv6 by providing technical leadership, white papers, events and local/regional meetings of network engineers who steward computer networks for enterprises, content companies, and service providers. All members of the CAv6TF represent themselves as volunteer Internet Scientists, engineers, and citizens advocating IPv6 adoption for an open Internet.
