The California Wolf Project (CAWP) is a long-term research initiative launched within UC Berkeley's Wildlife Program. With the California Department of Fish and Wildlife as our primary partner and additional support from the National Geographic Society, the project brings together a team of scientists, wildlife managers, and conservation communicators. Together, we seek to better understand the social and ecological factors that shape wolf populations and inform management decisions in the state.
