After providing usability, information architecture, business analysis, project management, and Human Factors services for over30 years, and earning an MS in Human Factors Engineering and a certification as a Certified User Experience Professional, I have a seasoned understanding of what it takes to create an easy, accessible, and efficient user interface. I also recognize that each new engagement calls for fresh thinking and flexible methods, that results must be achieved with the resources at hand, and that the usability of all stakeholders needs to be considered.
I began design research as a junior in college, riding my bike around town conducting door to door surveys. After studying engineering, English, and Psychology, I began Human Factors classes my senior year. Over the following 35 years, I have improved the experience of many users in a number of industries, including astronauts, doctors, lawyers, tax professionals, consumers, human resource professionals, engineers, medical patients, traders, bankers, insurance salesman, developers, designers, and researchers.
My passion is to make others' lives and work easier. I love to bring together people and thoughts that normally do not go together, and to break down silos. I am a humanistic change agent that likes to work with people who think differently than most.
