About UT Dallas Callier Center for Communication Disorders

Helping people communicate and connect with one another is what we’re all about at the UT Dallas Callier Center for Communication Disorders. From providing pre and post-surgical evaluations for children with cochlear implants, to offering speech and language therapy for patients of all ages, we offer quality care in a compassionate, family-centered environment. Since 1963, we have been a leader in providing in-depth, advanced evaluations and innovative treatments for children and adults with a wide variety of speech, language and hearing disorders. Each year, we provide services to approximately 4,000 patients in more than 40,000 clinical visits at our two locations in downtown Dallas and Richardson, Texas. While our highly trained clinicians provide a unique and individualized plan of care for all patients, our outstanding faculty engage in research on the causes, treatments and prevention of communication disorders. We also support the nationally ranked academic programs in the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences. U.S. News & World Report ranks UT Dallas’ audiology program No. 2 in the nation and its speech-language-pathology program No. 10. As a result of our commitment and dedication, the Callier Center is recognized as one of the nation’s finest educational, research and treatment centers focusing on communication and communication disorders. Plus, our nationally accredited child development program provides early education services for children from birth through five years of age. Accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the program encompasses both tuition-based child development and public school deaf education.
