Calliope (pronounced kuh-lai-uh-pi) is one of nine Muses in Ancient Greek mythology and was said to be the wisest and most assertive of the Muses. She presides over eloquence and epic poetry. Calliope appealed to us because of the emphasis on her beauty being both internal (through intelligence and wisdom) as well as external. Similarly, we wanted our candles to emulate this figure by being externally aesthetic whilst providing positive internal health benefits to its user.
