Calmino Group AB founded in 2003, has expertise within Medical Food and Medical Device products for gastrointestinal health, based on chemically characterized extracts from Aloe barbadensis Mill. (Aloe vera). In 2010, Calmino Group AB launched a product for the dietary management of IBS under the brand PROIBS®. After many successful years on the market in various pharmacies in Sweden and several other European countries, the product was recently certified as a Medical Device for the treatment of IBS symptoms. PROIBS® is recommended by health care professionals, pharmacists and consumers.
With their head office based at Sahlgrenska Science Park, Gothenburg, Sweden, the company has close proximity to several major research institutes such as the University of Gothenburg, Sahlgrenska University Hospital and Chalmers University of Technology, enabling accessible partnerships and transfer of knowledge, as well as have access to a large network of competence in including business development, IP, regulatory affairs and international trade amongst many others.
