Cambridge Industries Ltd (CIL) is an engineering, design, procurement and construction firm focused on renewable energy projects throughout Africa. As a subsidiary of Cambridge Group Companies, it is currently running the full implementation of various renewable energy projects in the continent. CIL has implemented or currently finishing projects worth hundreds of millions. Most notably, CIL is the first company to design, engineer and construct a large-scale waste-to-energy project in Africa. The Reppie Waste-to-Energy facility in Addis Ababa is currently processing over 1,400tons of waste a day.
CIL was initially a subsidiary of DP Cleantech Ltd (a leading biomass firm) and was spun out with a full focus on Africa. Moonee Investment Ltd own's the majority shares and continue to focus on CIL's expansion. Since 2013, CIL has a joint venture partnership for various projects with leading investment and construction firms.
