Lens flare, the annoying light reflections in camera lenses caused by direct sunlight, has always been a major problem in TV and event production. Whether during sports broadcasts, shows, or events, lens flare impairs image quality and is often only combated by camera operators with makeshift solutions such as cardboard and foil, as no technical solutions existed until now.
The Solution: CAMFLAG
The CAMFLAG was developed to eliminate lens flare and significantly improve image quality. It offers dynamic, automated coverage that intelligently adapts to the camera settings and is directly linked to the camera's tracking data. This minimizes the light irradiation on the lens and leads to:
Maximum reduction of lens flare
Sharper images and more intense colors
Significantly improved contrast values and black levels
