Camm Solutions is a greentech company that has developed the fully sustainable and commercially viable material solution CAMM to combat global (micro)plastic pollution and eliminate waste.
CAMM represents a breakthrough in material science, copying nature's own processes. It's engineered to function like plastic, yet when it's time to decompose, it does so with care for the environment, integrating back into the ecosystem without leaving harmful traces. When laminated or extruded onto paper, CAMM rivals the properties of multilayer packaging. In the recycling process, the CAMM layer washes away, enabling complete paper fiber recovery – a stark contrast to typical packaging that retains microplastics.
Camm Solutions was initiated by Christoph Bertsch, a serial entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience, who was driven to solve the microplastic problem for one of his other companies. The CAMM idea resulted out of that quest. Supported by a diverse international group of shareholders representing the full CAMM value chain from raw material to recycling, close to €50M were invested to develop patented CAMM formulations and launch sustainable game changers like CAMM airpillows and stretchfilm. Today, CAMM embodies a practical vision of sustainability, proving that innovative ideas can create real-world eco-friendly solutions.
