Camp Bronx Fund was created to make a difference in the lives of children, their families, and their communities. Modeled after the successful Camp Brooklyn Fund, our mission is to send economically disadvantaged Bronx kids to accredited sleepaway camps for two weeks each summer. At camp, children learn teamwork, loyalty, healthy habits, responsibility, personal respect, and an appreciation of nature. We believe this experience opens up a world of opportunity for these kids and helps them realize their potential.
The camps we support meet ACA guidelines, offering engaging programs that promote progression, challenge, and success. The camps and the agency managing our funds have systems in place to track the academic, social, and emotional growth of our funded campers. The data collected provides a clear picture of their progress from year to year.
