Camp Howard Summer Program

MAKING GREAT MEMORIES FOR KIDS SINCE 1953! Oregon's Catholic Camp - Where Everyone is Welcome! Located on 240 acres of beautiful Douglas Fir forests, rolling meadows, mountain streams and a pond, Camp Howard is the perfect place to build lifelong friendships and everlasting memories! GENERAL CAMP Our camp program is set up so that campers have two different directions from which to choose. The first is with our General Camp program, and the second is with our large variety of Specialty Camp offerings. General Camp is the basic summer camp program at Camp Howard. This means that, excluding any Specialty Camps, every activity we offer will be available to those signed up for General Camp. General Camp starts on Sunday afternoon, and ends on Friday afternoon, and is packed with activities throughout the week including: Swimming - Canoeing - Archery - Riflery - Camp Store - Hiking - Gigantic Slip 'n Slide - Nature Exploration - Recreational & Team-Building Activities. Additionally, for the older campers we offer Laser Tag (11 & older) and both a Giant Swing and Zipline (13 and older) SPECIALTY CAMP A Specialty Camp at Camp Howard is a variation of our General Camp experience with an infusion of a variety of special interest activities. Campers will participate in most general camp activities and schedules, with the exception of two general activity periods, where they attend their chosen Specialty Camp program for 2 hours each day (M - TH). In this way specialty campers enjoy the best that Camp Howard offers including meals, living in a cabin, the pool, shooting sports, campfires and all other unit or camp-wide activities.
