Camp Simcha exists to improve the quality of life of children suffering from Cancer or other life threatening illnesses. Our mission is to ensure that no such child, anywhere in the UK, has to suffer without us.
Our support extends to children from 0 – 18 years of age, with any form of cancer or any other condition that represents a threat to life. These conditions include muscular dystrophy, cystic fibrosis, many rare genetic conditions such as dysautonomia, serious heart conditions and uncontrolled seizures.
Camp Simcha is unique in that we provide 24/7 support to families who have the heart ache of dealing with an ill child. Throughout the year, we provide a wide range of services designed to provide both practical and emotional support to parents. We make a critical difference to children through powerful positive experiences.
We aim to provide essential support not only to the unwell child of each family but also to the siblings whose anxiety, loneliness and confusion can be extremely overwhelming and sometimes overlooked. Our philosophy is that the most effective way to help a sick child is to improve things for the whole family.
In addition to family services, Camp Simcha now reaches over 1,000 children per year through special clowns, balloons and toys delivered to all children in hospitals and hospices.
