The Campaign for Human Rights and Development (CHRD) is a youth-led, community-centered nonprofit organization with a major focus on Liberia and the African continent. We are committed to promoting and protecting human rights, strengthening democratic values, and advancing inclusive governance and sustainable development across Africa.
At CHRD, we believe that lasting development begins with dignity, justice, and accountability. Our work spans critical areas such as civic education, digital rights, gender equality, peacebuilding, climate justice, and youth political participation—empowering individuals and communities to become active agents of change.
Through grassroots mobilization, policy advocacy, capacity-building, and human rights monitoring, we partner with local, national, and international stakeholders to confront inequality, challenge injustice, and drive people-powered solutions.
We envision a just, democratic, and inclusive society where every individual—especially youth and marginalized groups—can thrive and meaningfully contribute to Africa’s development.
