Specializing in large-scale mechanical forestry mastication (mulching) we reduce forest fuels to create Defensible Space between homes and critical infrastructure – so when a fire comes, it comes no further. Our massive machines mulch brush and trees (up to 14 inches in diameter) faster than anything else on the planet. They are also engineered with low ground pressure that leaves minimal soil disturbance. Our hand crews can mulch sensitive or hard to reach places and will lop and scatter as required. Mastication leaves behind a layer of beneficial mulch that promotes healthy habitat recovery. Mulch helps prevent soil erosion by sealing in moisture, helping native grasses and desirable trees (like oaks) get the nutrients they need.
