Campus Challenge

Campus Challenge is an NGO that primarily focuses on helping the disabled children community from economically backward sections. It was established in 2009 by the Friends Indeed Foundation. In 2014 the organization partnered with Association Saikorian, an alumni network of Sainik School Korukonda to keep the mission going. The work done by the organization can be mainly divided into four key activities. The Village: Campus Challenge is home for 150 orphaned and semi-orphaned disabled children. They live on campus where they are taken care of as per Community based Rehabilitation guidelines. The School: Campus Challenge is also home to an inclusive special needs English Medium school that is structured keeping in mind locomotor, Hearing, Visual, and intellectually challenged children. The student body is comprised of 150 children who live on campus and other disabled children who travel to campus as day scholars. Youth Department: Campus Challenge also runs a youth department of around 30 people. The youngsters receive vocational training in skills like stitching, carpentry, printing, computer training, and horticulture. Health Care Centre: A very important aspect of Campus Challenge's activities is running the health care center. With the help of a specialized outreach team and local social workers, the organization works toward providing physiotherapy for disabled kids or nearby regions. It also gives them access to orthopedic workshops, ADL training, and speech therapy. With this program, Campus Challenge reaches out to help more than 1000 children.
