CAMTech Uganda is a medical innovation hub located at Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST). Established in 2012, it came into being following a Memorandum of Understanding signed between Mass General Hospital (MGH), Boston, USA, and MUST. Since its inception, CAMTech Uganda has developed a structured innovation ecosystem that encompasses 1) the identification and validation of challenges, 2) development of solutions, 3) validation of solutions, and 4) commercialization.
To date, we have facilitated the establishment of 10 innovation-led companies, created over 216 jobs, and secured 8 national and international IPs.
