CAN-AMR-Net is a Health Research Training Platform funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) from 2024 to 2030.
Encompassing over 25 institutions, CAN-AMR-Net focuses on addressing Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) from a One Health approach and leverages diverse expertise to train the next generation of researchers, practitioners, and leaders in AMR and One Health to tackle the wicked problem of AMR.
CAN-AMR-Net operates under a central platform management team based at the University of Calgary and five hubs across Canada (BC, Prairies, ON, QC and Atlantic Canada) under four thematic areas:
1. Development of OH AMR translational competencies for trainees
2. Transdisciplinary Training and Career Readiness
3. Excellence in Knowledge Translation and Communication
4. Indigenous Knowledge and Engagement
