Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss Association

The Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss Association (CSPMA) is an association of horticultural peat moss producers and businesses devoted to leading, promoting and supporting the responsible management and wise use of Canadian peatlands. Its mission is to serve its members by: • Providing support, advocacy, and leadership, to and for the members. • Communicating and promoting science-based sustainable and innovative practices for the responsible management of Canadian peatlands, an essential part of food security and well-being. • Providing support, advocacy, and leadership, in environmental stewardship as well as societal and economic aspects related to the use of Canadian peatland resources. • Building champions at the international, federal, provincial and local levels of government, growers, and industry stakeholders. • Continuing to foster, build and support science-based research.
