Through local community support the Canberra Hospitals Foundation transforms away from bed spaces, purchases state-of-the-art treatment technology and equipment, supports research aimed at improving everyday patient care, and funds therapeutic wellness programs for patients.
Every year through Canberra Hospitals Foundation, the community donations grant more than 100 funding applications from doctors and nurses to provide extra services, advanced treatments and uplifting environments. Canberra Hospitals Foundation also coordinates special hospital visits by sporting teams and celebrities and the distribution of more than 7000 comfort items and 5500 Christmas gifts generously donated through our Donation Station.
