Canlingua is a company founded by four international students. It is an added-value reseller funded by Quillsoft company and located in St. Catharines.
Canlingua helps all international students in Canada by introducing them useful products to assist students to succeed. The two main products are WordQ 5 and 40 Rules Practical Advice for Canadian Writers both of which target specific learning issues that international students face.
WordQ 5 is the latest software developed by Quillsoft. It helps students during their writing process to keep them avoid making many common mistakes as well as assisting them in improving their academic vocabulary through a vocabulary database and word searching utility.
As international students ourselves, we used WordQ as part of a service learning project at Brock University. In fact, we are the winners of a contest that has resulted in the founding of this company. We believe in these products because they helped us succeed in our writing, grammar and to effectively learn the Canadian writing style.
While our focus is international students, our products can assist anyone who is struggling with their writing both at school and in the workplace.
