Cannon Ventures is a progressive entrepreneurial resource comprised of multiple operations, currently The Cannon Ventures Investor Network and Venture Studio Suite. The Investor Network is a three-stage community of investors that range from seasoned VC/PE firms, through to Angels, and on into developing early investors via crowdfund investing. These groups congregate regularly to hear pitches from early-stage and commercialized companies in need of funding. The Venture Studio Suite is a stack of programs orchestrated to support a startup or small business at each stage in its journey. Acting as a hands-on, operational task force that works alongside the startups, we immerse them in programming from the beginning phase, through to incubation, on into acceleration and we layer in our Executive Timeshare program. These efforts were designed to give our companies the best chance of success for their custom-use case. Throughout the country, cities are developing startup ecosystems – dense hubs of innovative entrepreneurial activity that become an increasingly strong magnet for investors, startups, talent, and other resources. This startup infrastructure is made up of entities across the entrepreneurial stack, including coworking spaces, incubators, accelerators, universities, angel investors, mentors, VCs, and other programs, and help to establish local startup ecosystems. These groups foster collaboration among mentors, entrepreneurs, institutional capital, universities, and more and they encourage, foster new business creations, improve success rates of startups, help create jobs, and improve the overall economic environment of that city.
