Canstruct Group was founded in the 1960s by Robin Murphy. Under Robin’s leadership, the company began its first major business venture deep in the jungles of Papua New Guinea. Canstruct is proud of its history in operating in the most demanding environments throughout the Pacific and in remote regions of Australia. As Canstruct continued to grow and take on bigger and more complex projects, the company expanded its operations from a family-based business to now more than 500 staff and contractors. Diversifying our business into four main area, Canstruct now deliver through: * Integrated Facilities Management: facility services to manage complex supply chain operations as well as catering, accommodation, transport, cleaning, asset maintenance and environmental services. * Humanitarian Services: delivering tailored welfare programs and services, including individual care, case management, early childhood, youth and adult education and recreation programs, referral services, settlement support and child safeguarding services. This includes providing community and international development services, and partnering with communities to identify and deliver capacity building opportunities in remote and regional locations. * Construction and Engineering: from Papua New Guinea to designing and constructing the Christmas Island housing project, and regional processing centre and refugee accommodation sites in Nauru, we have worked in over 30 international locations. Canstruct uses an Integrated Management System (IMS) which is third-party certified to the following standards: Quality Management AS/NZS ISO 9001:2015; Environmental Management AS/NZS ISO 14001:2015; and Workplace Health and Safety AS/NZS 4801:2001 Canstruct has been safety accredited since 2008 by the Federal Safety Commissioner to the Australian Government building and construction WHS Accreditation Scheme – Accreditation Number 119.
