CAOLA

The Capital Area Online Learning Association (CAOLA) is a revolution in online education. By offering flexible courses, students stay enrolled in their local school district and earn a diploma from their high school while completing courses online, allowing them to participate in school sponsored events and athletic activities – all while learning from home. CAOLA is the largest online learning consortium in Pennsylvania and is a collaborative effort between the Capital Area Intermediate Unit (CAIU), member districts and partnered Pennsylvania Intermediate Units to provide online learning options for K-12 students. Membership in CAOLA provides students with an engaging, high quality curriculum. More than 400 courses are customizable to fit student needs while teaching valuable skills that are essential for success in the 21st century.
