Fondée à Paris, le 24 novembre 1991, Cap Magellan est la première et plus grande association de jeunes lusophones et lusophiles, partageant la même volonté de promouvoir la langue portugaise et la culture lusophone.
L’association a été pionnière dans plusieurs projets et actions mettant en avant les atouts d’une double culture au sein d’une société en pleine mutation. Avec plus de 30.000 contacts directs et un réseau dans les Universités françaises, Cap Magellan assume un rôle de défense des réalités et des nécessités des lusodescendants.
