Caparo Mi Steel Processing Pvt. Ltd. (CMSPL) was incorporated in January, 2007. It is a 70:30 joint venture between Caparo Engineering India Ltd (CEIL) and Marubeni-Itochu Steel Inc (MISI), Japan to manufacture Tailor Welded Blanks (TWBs). The company started commercial production of TWBs in March 2008 with its major customer being Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL). The company has an installed capacity of 13,20,000 pieces per annum (p.a.) at its manufacturing facilities located at Bawal, Haryana. The main raw material for TWBs is Cold Rolled (CR) steel which is largely sourced domestically. Caparo Mi Steel Processing Private Limited is a Private incorporated on 19 January 2007.
