China Association for the Promotion of Development Financing (CAPDF)

China Association for the Promotion of Development Financing (CAPDF) is led by Mr. Chen Yuan, Vice-Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the former Chairman of China Development Bank (CDB). As China’s first and only nationwide association in the field of development financing, the CAPDF is initiated by China Development Bank (CDB), with the mission of promoting theoretical research and institutional innovation in the field of development financing, applying principles and approaches of development financing to promoting market liberalization, market incubation and institutional reform, and fostering exchanges and cooperation among DFIs worldwide.During the past two decades, CDB has blazed a new trail in development financing and formulated a unique set of principles and methods in its operations, playing a significant role in China’s financial system and overall socioeconomic development. As a development financing NGO chiefly sponsored by the China Development Bank, CAPDF is committed to facilitating research on development financing, building of think tanks, industrial incubation, information services and international exchanges, and promoting the socialization and internationalization of development financing. China has figured out a set of development financing concepts and methods with Chinese characteristics through over 20 years of practice, which has played a unique role in supporting the "national infrastructure, basic industries and pillar industries", improvement of people's livelihood and international cooperation.
