Captive Systems developed MagnetoSponges, a disruptive technology for water management, treatment and recovery in order to make the wastewater process competitive, environmentally sustainable and scalable. The technology is based on the use of micro-aggregate of fucntionalized magnetic nanoparticles for the removal of fuels, oils, fats compounds, surfactants, metals and anionic pollutants form water. The introduction of this technology for the management of wastewater and processing water of industry will promote an easy way treatment to nullify the environmental impact of processes water, both favoring the reuse of it to achieve a real closed cycle in a plant but also to produce second water for applications in other fields.
Moreover MagnetoSponges can be applied also for gas stream treatment for the reduction of VOC and odorigenic species
