Care & Fair mission is to improve the living conditions of the carpet weavers and their families. We believe that providing free access to education for children and professional programs for women will give them the tools to have a better future. That’s why Care & Fair offers free education and primary medical health care to knotting families and their communities in India and Pakistan.
The main objectives of Care & Fair include:
• Socially acceptable production – Care & Fair members only accept goods produced at socially acceptable conditions • Setting an example, doing its bit in trying to make the world a better place on a localized level
• Let children be children - fight to eradicate any children working in the carpet industry
We are 323 members including exporters, importers, and retailers engaged in the carpet industry. An organization based mainly on voluntary work, 85% of the funds from the Care & Fair go to field projects in India and Pakistan.
School and training projects and basic medical care measures are carried out in the rural knotting regions, which are often inadequately supplied by the governments of India and Pakistan.
