Career Thrive Tribe is a mentorship program founded by @Gladys Kiarie Kamaki to connect driven mentees with mentors who are experts in their field of expertise. Often mentorship in the workplace is linked to specific career objectives and employees worry that the outcome may or may not affect their career development. Our mentorship program is however linked to the mentee’s individual career objectives, and this ensures the mentor tailor makes the sessions to help the mentee achieve their goals. The mentors and mentees get a life time membership to the Career Thrive Tribe community and access to valuable resources shared.
The formal period of the internship is 6 months, with a mandatory 2 sessions per month. This is to ensure that the mentee gets the best value and evaluates the progress made towards achieving their goals. Both mentors and mentees get to network in our online networking sessions, where we will have discussions on common topics in career development.
Our mentors are experts in their field of expertise, with minimum 10 years of experience. We are united by our common drive and purpose to pay it forward by mentoring individuals at different stages in their career. Fresh graduates, career plateau & need for a change, navigating career or role changes , navigating promotions & location change transitions and career development are some of the mentees objectives in our mentorship program. We match the mentees to mentors based on field of expertise, skill set and experience and mentorship objective.
We have so far matched 4 mentees within one week of founding the program. We currently have 4 mentors not yet matched; 2 Finance Directors, 1 Director & PHD holder in Agriculture Economics and 1 Managing Director in Built Environment and Facilities Management. Mentees in these field are open to apply.
