Caribbean Architects Trust is a community trust fund to invest in urbanizing Haiti and other Caribbean countries with large scale projects and infrastructure.
This is fund will support all projects and serve the AIA-Licensed Haitian architectural community, and build the local architectural body, Haitian Architects Institute ( HAI ) and its headquarters and regional chapter. The Caribbean region can support the Caribbean Architects Institute( CAI) funded by AIA and this Community Trust of other Caribbean governments, institutions, and individuals.
The Caribbean Architects Trust( CAT) will also support all infrastructure and urban development events sponsored by AIA Caribbean to take place In the Caribbean region and specially in Haiti to help it graduate from the #LDC list from UNCTAD by pooling resources from various donors to build community projects and undertake urban-led initiatives a a well structured board of governors, board of directors, and trustees to help manage and coordinate programs for grant distribution, low income funding, and bridge funding.
The trust fund will support a wide range of activities including: Community development projects, Historic preservation, Affordable public housing initiatives, Scholarships and educational programs for urban planning, and Grants to local non-profits to landing development, community planning, and district and hub projects.
