CARI is the new contemporary luxe label for modern motherhood. Born out of a desire for a more elevated and stylish maternity wardrobe, founder Sue Carter created the brand in 2021 with a mission to empower women to be able to make their own unique choices with confidence at every stage of the motherhood journey.
The CARI philosophy is to create easy-to-wear modern classics that flatter the changing body, and keep you looking and feeling beautiful whatever stage you are at.
As an e-commerce brand, CARI's business model is direct to customer with the emphasis on delivering an excellent personal service - whilst also employing the occasional pop-up opportunity to showcase the collections. In addition, CARI collaborates with, and is present on, new and growing retail platforms such as For The Creators and The Mum Marketplace - both new and growing female founded businesses in the mother and baby market.
London based, the range is designed and produced locally using small businesses, and is tested and modelled by pregnant women to ensure it meets the high standards and functionality required. The target is zero waste and long term sustainable production because as a mother & baby brand we are dedicated to giving our little people the best possible future we can. CARI is committed to full transparency and paying people fairly, as well as supporting other female entrepreneurs, small business owners and the amazing talent that exists in the UK fashion manufacturing sector.
The name CARI, pronounced ‘carry’, is a celebration of how we carry our little ones with us forever on both a physical and emotional journey into motherhood, always evolving while also trying to hold on to who we are.
