Working with seniors is a great way for students to explore healthcare careers — and earn scholarships as well as higher pay. Students can play a pivotal role in helping senior care providers address a dramatic shortage off workers. Creating opportunities for elementary and secondary students to interact with seniors and senior to volunteer at schools creates meaningful intergeneration bonds. Launched with a grant from the Minnesota Legislature, Caring Careers Start Here is a collaboration of HealthForce Minnesota, Care Providers of Minnesota and LeadingAge Minnesota.
