Caring Hands Center is a leading mental health organization based in Malawi, dedicated to promoting mental well-being, raising awareness, and providing psychosocial support primarily focusing on youth and children. Since our founding in 2017, we have worked to ensure that young people have access to safe, supportive environments that foster mental resilience and emotional growth.
Our programs operate across schools, communities, and national platforms, with key areas including mental health education, trauma-informed care, advocacy, and support for climate-related mental health challenges. As an active member of the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Task Force led by the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Gender, we collaborate with national and global partners such as UNFPA Malawi and Global Health Corps.
By using culturally sensitive, youth-centered approaches, we strive to reduce stigma, strengthen protective systems, and empower the next generation to thrive mentally, emotionally, and socially. Our vision is a mentally healthy Malawi where every young person has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
