Caring on Campus

Caring on Campus drives a transformative shift towards inclusive, compassionate, and empowered teaching and learning communities. It recognises that genuine resilience and success in today’s demanding world start with prioritising our mental wellbeing. Everyone involved in university life - governors, academics, staff, and students - has the power to create a ripple effect, beginning with their own sense of wellbeing and extending its positive impact across wider communities. At its core, Caring on Campus emphasises the importance of understanding and aligning with personal values. By fostering self-awareness, individuals can clarify what they stand for, paving the way for transformative relationships, personal success, and systems change. Aligned with the UK University Mental Health Charter, Caring on Campus promotes key priorities in Higher Education, including Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), Women in Leadership, and other critical issues. We create spaces and conversations that inspire self-discovery, purpose, renewed confidence and a sense of empowerment. Our aim is for individuals to acquire the tools they need so they can always give their best, do the right thing and make principled decisions, even in challenging circumstances. Delivered as a pro bono initiative, Caring on Campus offers engagement-based professional and personal development in various formats for everyone in university life, whether on campus or remote. This initiative is powered by dedicated volunteer professionals committed to driving transformation in Higher Education to fulfil its Highest Purpose.
