Caritra Indonesia

Caritra was initiated in 2006 by housing activists, the Government of the Special Region of Yogyakarta, UN-Habitat, and the Ministry of Public Housing. We exist because of the community's need for institutions that care about the improvement of livable houses, participatory planning in the area of development, publications to campaign for a healthy and decent place to live, inspiring to create a foundation that focuses on housing and settlements. Then, on April 26, 2010, we found 'Housing Resource Center Caritra Yogyakarta'; Our Mission: Caritra has a role as a resource in the housing and settlement sector that supports the development of healthy, livable, affordable, and sustainable housing and urban areas in the communities Our Vision: We want to see Caritra as an organization that is always leading, civil, professional, and innovative in mobilizing housing and urban human resources in order to build healthy, livable housing, and integrative intermediaries. Our Values: As we work toward planning and building areas for people to live a better life, we are guided by four fundamental values that inspire our work: Team Independence. Integrated Performance Improvement, Committed Partnerships and Empowerment in the work place.
