About CARMA-H2

Funded by the Clean Hydrogen Joint Undertaking, the CARMA-H2 project is developing an advanced protonic membrane reformer (bioPMR) to produce purified, pressurized hydrogen, with food-grade CO₂ generated through a liquefaction process. Recycling off-gas further boosts hydrogen recovery and overall efficiency. By streamlining traditional methods, CARMA-H2 makes hydrogen production viable for small, local biogas plants. This technology will be demonstrated at the Arazuri wastewater treatment plant in Navarra, Spain. Co-funded by the European Union. Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or the Clean Hydrogen Joint Undertaking. Neither the European Union nor the granting authority can be held responsible for them. Account managed by Fondazione ICONS.
