Rooted in a passion for great food, warm hospitality and a love of trains, the Carriages Group is home to a growing collection of distinctive dining destinations in Herefordshire. It began with Carriages Restaurant, originally created as an employee-only space for their parent company allpay, but has become something unique by offering a fine dining experience unlike any other in Herefordshire. Open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, it offers seasonal tasting menus, elegant surroundings and curated experiences such as wine tastings and cocktail evenings. Overlooking the old Whitestone railway station and available for private hire, Carriages combines quality, creativity and atmosphere in one memorable setting. In 2023, the group expanded with The Sidings a Carriages - a café and farm shop built into two converted vintage train carriages. Open seven days a week, The Sidings serves all-day brunches, afternoon tea and the perfect cup of coffee, and stocks a handpicked selection of local produce. With a laid-back feel, friendly service and regular events, it’s fast become a favourite among locals and visitors alike. And we’re not stopping there. With something new on the horizon, the Carriages Group continues to grow - bringing new flavours, ideas and experiences to life, all in our signature train-themed style.
