A new passion for a ancient tradition Wine and Oil from Calabria - Italy
In the second half of 1800, Francesco Comerci cultivated Magliocco Canino on the hills sloping down from Nicotera to the sea. Aided by the sea winds and the sun this autochthonous vine drew the fragrances from this unique soil to produce a brilliant and harmonious wine which he stored in a 100 hl cask.
Today Francesco Comerci's descendents have taken up this ancient tradition again. Using modern technologies Casa Comerci today produces Libici bringing back the colours, fragrances and uniqueness of an inimitable wine.
Libici is a ruby red wine with an intense and fruity bouquet with delicate floral notes and a round and harmonious taste. It is a good accompaniment to strong-flavoured pasta dishes or starters, red meats and seasoned cheeses. The optimal serving temperature is between 16 and 18ºC.
