About Casa-Nica
Casa-Nica is a volunteer-based start-up NGO located in Masaya, Nicaragua with a progressive development philosophy and a diverse array of projects in education, agriculture, technology, health, and special needs that serve the local and regional communities. Casa-Nica believes that the most effective way to do development work is by contributing to and expanding preexisting projects and programs already created by local Nicaraguans to serve their own communities and not by implementing any foreign-specific agenda. Casa-Nica accomplishes their mission by recruiting international volunteers and interns with diverse backgrounds to help add their expertise and/or enthusiasm to established projects or by creating their own specific project to serve a need in the community. Casa-Nica has been hailed by their former volunteers as one of the few affordable international volunteer organizations that provides an exciting, fulfilling, and professional experience to add to one's life or job resume. Casa-Nica provides a comfortable and dynamic house with daily Spanish lessons from a native and certified Spanish language teacher.
